Maternity Pictures

Back in December, Jarrett and I had some maternity pictures taken by one of my friends from high school, Devon. She has a growing photography business and is super talented, we were so excited to see the pictures she took. Here are a few of them.

Emerson's Arrival

Welcome to the world Emerson May! February 17, 2009 is a day I will always remember! After 15 hours of labor that ended in a c-section our little girl finally made her debut. At 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 in. long she is pretty tiny, but absolutely perfect! I can't believe I carried her around for 9 months, what a miracle! So far, we think she looks like Jarrett, but she does have my blonde hair and stubborn personality :) We had quite the cheerleaders at the hospital for the duration. My mom and dad and Jarrett's mom and dad were there for the entire thing, their love and support was so helpful as the hours drug on and on. We brought her home from the hospital on the 19th and have been trying to adjust to life with a newborn and lack of sleep. She is amazing though and worth every second of it! Jarrett and I are so blessed and excited to have her in our lives! I cannot wait to watch her grow and see the person she will become, but for now I love my little, tiny baby girl!

Waiting for the Big Day

Today is February 15, 2009 and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Emerson May Johnston! We are scheduled to induce tomorrow morning. Her original due date was February 11th, but as you can see we have passed it. So we will check into the hospital tomorrow morning at 5AM to get things started! We are so ready for her to be here! It seems like I have been pregnant forever! Hopefully the labor will go quickly and easily, I can't wait to bring her home! We will be posting pictures as soon as we have some!
